Energy

Energy was our greatest headache and almost our undoing through global warming. Solar and wind are an auxiliary source of energy. Nuclear energy converted to electricity is the future. Diamond C14 batteries will take care of our personal tablets and laptops without the need of recharging since they have a lifetime of 5k years.

I believe electricity will be standardized in the whole planet 2V DC for electrical elements, 6V for batteries for digital equipment regulated down to 5V by specialized semiconductors, 24V DC for larger batteries and 120V AC @  60Hz for electrical outlets so that all appliances can work worldwide. Since 120 is much safer than 240, I think USA 's standard will be adopted.

Other rechargeable batteries technology has also been developed and appear in electric cars - future flying cars will be fully electrical and made of plastic and carbon fiber, so that their mass and momentum will be greatly reduced and they will be much safer when an accident happens - and houses like Tesla batteries along with solar and wind systems.

Solar windows will favor houses and buildings made of metal and glass.

Our main energy source will be hydrogen fusion in fusion reactors. Cold fusion cycles of Carbon (Methane) and Oxygen (Water) will become our main fuel. Oil and gas will be used only in the petrochemical industry and no longer for fuel. The environment will be cleaner and the planet will cool down at last. Relatively small Tokamak devices will give 100 MWatts of electrical power burning just water.

Conventional fuel will still power our Aircraft and Orbital Spacecraft but this won't be a trouble at all. Pollution will disappear.
